Levering a Giant Hammer

Several athletes gave it a try levering the giant wooden hammer that Scott George built from a hammer handle and a huge block of wood following the Gripmas Carol Grip Contest. @ronniegranillo - I didn't make that hammer but it looks pretty simple to make. The mallet is made of wood and the handle is as well. Without actually watching the video, I can't remember how the handle is attached, but there's got to be a way to do it pretty easy. Wish I could be of more help, but I am not a carpenter.
