Without exaggeration the best tutor online! I am learning a real lot! Thanks

@MyFlik1 Not to take anything away from McKee's Story - it has some interesting ideas. It's just the book you tell people to read when you want them to give up IMO. I almost stopped writing after reading it myself. Teaching people things like 40 plot points for a feature opens the doors wide for new ideas to flow and good story structure to bloom. Write from the theme first too since it controls events in the plot. This is a big idea in the workshop most other writing teachers do not touch.

....Absolutely - - Robert's' book could make people give up,...convinced they wouldn't be able to grasp and intergrate all the elements of writing. I hope they discover these wonderfully easy to follow and very encouraging tutorials of yours. Wishng you great success with your 3D feature! Kate :-)

Hi, thank you so much for sharing your work with us. 'You' alone, with the necessary diagrams would be easier to watch( the running images behind you can be distracting) but I'm very greatful for your generosity. (i'm struggling on a tight budget) I've learned loads from you, much more than I did from Rob McKee's book, you're so easy to follow. I won't forget to mention you when I sucessfully sell my scripts. Thanks again and the very best wishes to you. Kate

omg...this is more like a science documentary @_@
So some guy who did your workshop and sold his first script for €600,000 didn't bother to mention you when asked what he studied..!!? - Too big to say your step by step visuals easily conveye the rules of writing? Too ashamed to say he got some great insight from a 'girl'.....lol. What an ego! Of course it may have been an oversight on his behalf....but if not, thank goodness we have a choice to take things personally or not MyFlik,....and I hope you didn't. Cheers!! :-)

@MissHappyKate Well he did say he used it at first, then said he did not while quoting directly from the workshop and book. He was the first one to buy it. Then he finally admitted he did when he could not find another source for his quotes or big breakthrough about writing from theme first on a public forum. Let's just say most screenwriters are men. About 7% of films last year had female screenwriters or directors. Female filmmakers need to learn not to hear the word "no" 100 times a day IMO.

@HappyCatya Thanks Kate - good luck with your film! There will be no edits on these videos but thanks for the feedback. Too many hard drives and files have been lost at this point. And I am working on my first 3D feature which is much more fun! I found Story by Robert McKee to be very theory heavy with very few practical tips too. I did use some of the ideas but not many in my process. Be careful of people who tell you to read that book to learn screenwriting - they may want you to give up!
