This is a speach that George Romney gave at a AMC convention in 1994. He spoke on American Motors, the auto industry and the country. Very interesting speach from a famous American.

  • He would of been better than Nixon...

  • @borch1260 Of what I have read he didnt like Nixon at all and resigned after Nixon pulled a shady thing on him.

  • Fantastic! Thanks for sharing this, Paul. I knew that someone must have videotaped this Romney speech, but I've never seen anything surface...until now. Even at age 87 (at that time in 1994), Romney is all there. Spry. Lucid. And very articulate. You can disagree with his conclusions about the importance of religion or global automotive competition or whatever, but his memories and insight about his time at American Motors are priceless. And his contribution to AMC is indisputably great.

  • @GoneAutos Thanks Todd I totally agree.

  • George Romney was one of the great ones. It's a shame his presidential campaign was sunk by the mischaracterization of that "brainwash" comment.

  • Nice video !! good to document the great men..
