well a lot of stuck up baptist churchs wont sing these type of hymns no more my new church is 1 but imma still sing them whether they back me up whether the organist play cause these type of hymns carried the church thru

Thank-you for continuing to sing the old gospel hymnals...it is my own personal experience that many of today's baptist churches have become too "contemporary" - and the more we do this, the more history we loose...I currently reside in Albany, Georgia where i am matriculating at Albany State

University and on Sunday morning I dread going to church because I have yet to find a church that sings the old hymns let along carry devotional services...

Im 24 and my church is BOOGIE TOO!! but i still sing them, cause i was brought up on this type of music.....if we could get back to this type of music and TAKE HEED to the WORDS, life would be sooo much better!

As a former Minister of Music, I feel that not only should we keep the "old songs" of the Church alive that includes this type of singing, but we should also bring back that Old Blue Book that contained the Anthems that we sang at my Church(Mount Gilboa Missionary Baptist,Bartow Florida) on 1st Sunday Morning. As well as the Spirituals that "brung" us through slavery. Gospel and the Praise Team ought not be the only format for authentic worship in the Black Church.

they sing this @ VOICE IN THE WILDERNESS BAPTIST CHURCH 3737 S.WABASH IN CHICAGO....It be sho nuff church wooooooo
