why doesn't Obama tout this more often? Many companies, cities, states, etc. are being crushed by healthcare spiraling out of control and ONLY the federal government can possibly control those costs.

We need Obama to make this work or we're all screwed.

- how did the republicans prevent the healhcare bill? democrats control congress and dont need 1 single republican vote to pass any bill they choose. so as a matter of fact, it is impossible for republicans to prevent anything the democrats want to pass. the truth is, the opposition to the healthcare bill that was threatening to keep it from passing was coming from moderate democrats.

Statistically there are a fair amount of democrats and Independants that make up the tea party. The democrats who voted this Bill in did it against the majority of their constituents, and by most definitions would be considered tyrants for doing so. Since when has it become un american to tell your REPRESENATIVES that you don't approve of what THEY WANT to make law??
