A natural minor has no sharps, but its not in A natural minor, its in A Harmonic minor, with does have G#. Harmolnic minor gives a leading tone to the V chord...
Ok, now I'm getting all music theory nerdy, so I'll stop, but there's your explanation.

I'm confused, how is it Amin? I mean the A minor doesn't have any sharps, and the last two notes are G#, are they not?
A min : A-B-C-D-E-F-G-A
C min : C-D-Eb-F-G-Ab-Bb-C

What he's playing right now is about as simple as the melody that Gizmo teaches Billy to play on the piano... no that melody is slightly harder.
