Watch out Coal: The Buddy now only takes renewable power

The Scandinavian Buddy-maker, Pure Mobility has decided that electricity is good and renewable is better. So to make sure that we all can drive on renewable energy, every Buddy that is sold from now on will come with a Guarantee on Origin certificate on the estimated power a Buddy consumes.

On top of that they will also set aside a certain amount per vehicle for the creation of more renewable energy. So if you think those trees that are growing in the display of your soon-to-arrive Nissan Leaf aint gonna cut it, what about some windmills growing in your mental display instead? Pure Mobility´s customers will also get a say in which renewable projects that get funding.

The certificates will be delivered from Ecohz, one of Europes largest providers of GoO certificates and electricaid.org got a chance to chat with Jan Svaheim from Pure Mobility and Tom Lindberg from Ecohz as they signed their contract at the Buddy assembly floor.
