Wouldn't it make since to turn the wah on when you needed it instead of buying the looper?

The wah is just my example. The point is that any effect can be controlled remotely with minimal cable length keeping tone pure. With this setup, I can keep my wah in my rack if I didn't wanna move it's treadle.
Think about that delay pedal in your effects loop. You have to run 2 20' or better cables to use your pedals in your effects loop. This is after 1 or 2 more 20' or more cables are used from the guitar into your pedal board. With this setup, That could be much shorter.

I get it now, you can turn multiple effects on at one time. Like have a wah and a distortion on but not coming through you amp, solo comes up and BAM! Both pedals on the spot! Nice, dude.

Exactly. It gives the ability for presets on non digital gear.
