  • That thing sounds just like mine...like shit!

  • @skypilot0077 No it dosen't. It sounds great in person. Get some better computer speakers!

  • receiving apco25 is one thing, however in Australia the police have gone apco25 but it is encrypted which means it is close to impossible to crack and no scanner is capable of doing it, so yes you can receive apco25 but if it is encrypted, good luck. oh if you do find a way, let me know ;)

  • Our Border Patrol here is encrypted and all you hear is static and noise.

  • you should get a video of the fire tone out

  • Wow! The BCD396 series is the mother of all the Uniden handheld scanners! I currently use a Bearcat 210XLT from the mid-1980's.

  • Uniden, that was your last pylon.

  • the 396T is a good scanner, but if you want better P25 decoding quality, get the 396XT. also analog quality sucks on the "T" .... trust me i own one. unfortunatly, the XT is more money

  • Hey I got one just like this.

  • Hey I got one just like it.

  • Yep, picks up analog too..

  • Does this scanner pick up analog, too? Sorry if it's a stupid question. Just wondering.

  • @SoulSyde I just said that same thing a month ago to my girlfriend. I asked her if she just heard that? What? SSN number right on the scanner. Crazy. But I live in Missouri and here you can use your ssn number as your driver number.
