Love it! Reminds me of the "Grand Theft Parsosns" movie :)

@eleanorbrownn: what was that troubadour gig like? lots of people? do you remember their setlist? what did you think of gram? was he terribly handsome in person?
-
@basicaa YES!!!!

@Dominik19Z Not forgotten by many of his fans and friends

Some great comments here. Gram was one of the greats. He was in a band that was great itself, the Byrds, and managed to invent an entirely different style of music known as country rock. Definitely missed.
Or maybe it's better to die young.

Tell you this, I would trade 10 Eagles albums for one more Gram Parsons album...and I'm an Eagles fan.

Wonder if Keef was at this gig? Gram was the uncredited writer / inspiration of 'Wild Horses' by the stones & their 69 album Beggars Banquet was heavily country influenced. Keef even recorded a version of Sing Me Back Home 10 years later. Too bad Gram tried to hang out with the devil himself - not too many people walk away unscathed.

@unclebobunclebob Written by Merle Haggard. God he is king of the smoky eye.
Is this on an album or CD? If so, which one.
