  • Love it! Reminds me of the "Grand Theft Parsosns" movie :)

  • @eleanorbrownn: what was that troubadour gig like? lots of people? do you remember their setlist? what did you think of gram? was he terribly handsome in person?

  • @basicaa YES!!!!

  • @Dominik19Z Not forgotten by many of his fans and friends

  • Some great comments here. Gram was one of the greats. He was in a band that was great itself, the Byrds, and managed to invent an entirely different style of music known as country rock. Definitely missed.

Or maybe it's better to die young.

  • Herlllo The Byrds Album Sweetheart of the rodeo

  • @dib00dles Lol I posted the original if you want:D whatta great song :D shameless plug :P

  • Tell you this, I would trade 10 Eagles albums for one more Gram Parsons album...and I'm an Eagles fan.

  • Wonder if Keef was at this gig? Gram was the uncredited writer / inspiration of 'Wild Horses' by the stones & their 69 album Beggars Banquet was heavily country influenced. Keef even recorded a version of Sing Me Back Home 10 years later. Too bad Gram tried to hang out with the devil himself - not too many people walk away unscathed.

  • @unclebobunclebob Written by Merle Haggard. God he is king of the smoky eye.
