you saw reflection movie in theater.. let me explain the difference.. open captioned theater is like closed caption on television. Open captioned is much better, but usually is not provided in SMALL towns. Reflection movies is usually reserved and used for small towns. smile.. you should go view a open captioned movie in a bigger city.. perhaps a capital city of your state? contact me if you want me to find you a open captioned movie in the theater. good luck!

I had experienced that open-caption. I hated it. I didnt like it. I like the closed captions on the screen where the movie is actually video-ing... =)

Oh it's RWC then...whatever..I hope it's short lived invention. I rather the captioning on the movie screen be below the screen where the dark space is below the movie and not on the screen where white captioning will clash with white screen or bright screen rendering it almost invisible to read. Why not ? Didn't they think of that?

LOL I finally look in youtube at work during my lunch and thought to look you up and found your recent vlog...you look cute with the short hair but you ruined it in the end lol. One thing is Closed Captioned is what you see on tv. Open Captioned is what you see on the movie screen. I haven't tried that device for the OC movie. I heard about it from my friends and am glad not to be dealing with it. It's embarassing to lug it around and have sigma of being Deaf by hearing people looking at us.
Would you go watch another open captioned movie with the same equipment? It seems it is impossible to be able to watch the movie and the captioning at the same time. Seems not worth it?

Hi RoberstChristina,
I made a mistake of calling it "Open Captioning" when it should've been "Rear Window Captioning", or RWC.
But would I want to use RWC again? I'd prefer not! :)

Heh! I'm sure you've done your research by now but I'll just type away.
That's called "Rear Window Captioning".. There's a big difference between "RWC" and "OC"..
Go to regalcinemas dot com and click on open captioned(if you haven't done so).. Regal offers OC directly off the screen.
We just have to read carefully whether it's "Rear window" (in which I have never seen before in my life and DO NOT plan to see it anytime in the future) and "Open Captioned"..

LOL... I know, several commentators on my blog have already pointed that out. OOpsie. ;)
But it did NOT say RWC on the internet for that movie I was seeing. Just "CC". :P
I guess I'd have to call them and inform them how to word it properly! :D
Thanks!

Ha! Here's two different sites.. I just learned you can't add html codes here in this reply.. So I'll have to spell it out.. If you visit world wide web dot nvrc dot org and ck into "calendar and events" and click on "captioned movie schedule", you'll see two links: open captioned and rear window captioned movies. I see the if it says, "CC" it's RWC. If "OC", it's open captioned.

Weelll...ooof. I learned something today! ;)
There's also another site - fomdi dot com that can help you look for captioned movies in your area!
Thanks for that site, too! :)
