For the next Open Movie of the Blender Foundation, Codename "Mango" (see: http://mango.blender.org/ ), one of the many requirements to create Visual Effects will be digital makeup. One possible technique for that is to create a digital double of the actor, where you can easily apply textures and props to. After that you can easily composite that on top of the footage. This is a little experiment with that technique.

  • most amazing thing ive seen in blender

  • Could you give me an idea on how you masked the markers out using a blur? did you texture the face model in the areas of the markers and use that?

  • Nice use of quads @0:26. But I noticed some edges are missing. Tip of the forehead, temple, and cheeck. Obviously what you've done looks fantastic, but is there a reason for the missing edges?

    Thank you

  • wow, inspiring. for a test this is very impressive stuff!

  • OK, now I need reference photos of Brad Pit for my online dating video...
