The Nadaswaram is a South Indian reed instrument, not unlike a Clarinet. Typically, a pair of Nadaswarams, a Tabla-like percussion instrument called a Thavil, and a drone instrument (Harmonium) are played at weddings and temples in South India. See this Wikipedia website for additional details (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nadaswaram).

We were in India recently, and I shot this video at my niece's wedding on May 4, 2007, held at a temple in a village called Hulikal, near Hassan, Karnataka, India.
