Today's Tapehead design are practically flawless. They are designed to give years of trouble free
service. Multiple sensor failure is a sign of a deeper problem such as bad travelers but there will be times when a sensor may fail. Let me show you how easy it is to replace a tapehead sensor.

  • Did 1x these the other day for faulty DZsensor.

Eventual problem was the board itself.

The triacs and resistors measured okay.

To replace board I had to flip the old 1 down and clamp the new board to the outer case x box and rewire 1 by 1, like fiddling with spiderwebs.

You gotta be carful not to break any wires as I did muddle up the 2 pair x shielded wires for 93, 94 ,95 & 96 causing the car to get outta position. Belled them out and put them right. All is Good..... Phew.

  • @jorologo

    Oh Oh ! 93,94,95,and 96! I guess that makes you level headed.........LOL..........

All kidding aside, well done. Although MCE boards are rock solid in design,One must be careful handling without damaging.

Oh Yeah when it comes to handling The MCE you gotta handle them like A Woman in Department Store.
