bLEND oF cHOICE was the only Dire Straits Tribute Band in Switzerland from 2000 until 2006.
Back in 2005 we recorded an EP for Demo purposes. This is one of the songs. The other songs will be uploaded soon.

Hi there,

many thanks for you comment. The guitar you hear is the Suhr Serial No. 1221 (pictured in the slide show) through a Soldano SLO-100 and EVM-12L speakers with a Vox Wah set fixed as filter.

@super8swiss Mark still uses Soldanos on many Dire Straits classics and his solo work. He and Eric Clapton first purchased the SLO-100 in 1987.

Eric stopped using the SLO-100s in favor of the '57 tweed Twin in 1994/95.

The SLO-100 is perhaps the most successful tube/valve guitar amp Michael Soldano ever built. It's chiefly responsible for Clapton's late 1980's/early 1990s records (Journeyman/24 Nights) and the Dire Straits stuff from that period.

Phantastic sound and perfect playing. It´s a shame that you´re not doing it anymore! A comeback would be great!
