An EF3 tornado crosses US-60 near Ellsinore, MO on May 25, 2011, around 3:55 PM. The vantage point is from a Stop-N-Go 5.1 miles down the road. Two homes next to the highway were destroyed as the tornado crossed. It's difficult to estimate the precise diameter of the base from the footage, but it might have been about 300 feet. We pursued the storm along US-67N for about 40 minutes, but were unable to get another good look at it.
Sorry about the focus. I thought I had it locked at infinity, but apparently not.
Thanks to Bill Reid, Chad Cowan, Chris Gullikson, and Tempest Tours.
