  • Shut up noobs. We're here for Xing Yi Quan, not in Wing Chun.

  • i cant do that

  • Very good video about Xingyi. I practise the Five Elements and is very usefull for health and selfdefense.

  • @6arcsn1sky Tradition has it (in my particular style) that Yue never had anything to do with xingyi just like he never had anything to do with eagle claw. It was passed down through the ages that the Dai brothers cooked up the whole story to make xingyi popular.

Actually Wing Chun was created by a nun from the Shaolin Temple. She had only one student and that student was name Yim Wing Chun. Wing Chun taught the technique to her husband who then taught the style to one other student who asked what is the name of this style. Wing Chun's husband decided to name it after his wife "Wing Chun".

  • @awickedtribe

    thats what i meant lol

  • Regardless of what stories say, scholars debate whether Yue Fei invented xingyiquan's older style, xinyiliuhequan since the oldest recorded practitioner was a Hui named Ma Xueli. Looks very different compared to xinyiliuhequan.

  • Actually she was one of five shaolin monks who escaped from northern temple when it was burned. She was hiding in a village when she found out a rich guy was after a young girl so she taught the girl Kung Fu to defend herself. The girl was small so the shaolin nun altered several styles of Kung Fu to fit the girls size and strength. The girls name was Wing Chun not the nuns.

  • @baragentledragon

no, wing chun was made by a woman named "yim wing chun", she was taught snake and crane kung fu from shaolin and then she combined them and hence wing chun came.

  • @jbuetty Absolutely not. And you'll just keep getting better as you age. Xingyi's good stuff.
