Woo, it's been a while since my last video. Since it's the start of the new year I figure I would post a new video of the first boss battle in the game.
Pretty much all character animations are complete (although I may touch up a few things if the game is ever completed). The hardest part now is to make battles balanced and of course create the enemies and their skills. Many thanks to Cherry and his ever awesome Picture Pointer Patch. With the patch, I can easily create new monsters without having a million branches. You may have noticed that enemies now have up to 3 frames of idle animations just to make it a little smoother.
This was made using RPG Maker 2003. This game has no title yet, I'm thinking of leaving it till the last minute.
I wanna know where to get a lot of cool sound effects like they have.

Extremely impressive stuff--almost can't believe this is 2k3. Looks great and really smooth all the way, and I really like the letterbox effect for skills.

@watts5k : Thanks for the kind words! You mean Velsarbor? I still think Velsarbor's battle system is far more superior xD I just wanted a side-view turn-based battle system without rm2k3's silly atb. I realise you can make battle systems very easily using rmvx scripts, but this project goes WAY back.

Having seen many cbs' and rpgmaker games I can say that this is truly excellent.
Not only does it seem like it performs well, but it looks awesome while doing it!
Major kudos to you, dude. You've done fantastic work! ...now I just wish I could actually get to play this cool looking game. ;_;
