he TOTALLY didn't answer the question about the unnecessary toning down of violence!! I LOVED watching peeps heads explode when doing an izuna drop!!! AND THEY TOOK IT AWAY FROM ME!!!

Well, the limbs are still rendered up to the point where they are cut off, so not much difference rendering wise.
But it also seems that there still is some debate about this, not because of the rendering that the console has to do, because it is fairly similar, but because of the gore that is gone. I don't mind it if there is less gore, what I do mind is if the game doesn't play well, if that is the case I'd have much more of a problem with it. Gore is not a must have for me.

Maybe you didn't notice it, but in Sigma 2, the severed enemy body parts instantly disappear. All heads, arms, legs, and decapitated upper bodies will disappear into thin air as soon as they're cut off.
They don't even fall to the ground and disappear, the limb is just magically gone like your sword is some kind of light saber. Dumb.
The violent combat was handled much better in the 360 game and the atmosphere was much more badass because of it. I played that game extensively, so I know.
