  • Great song on an equally great episode of a classic TV show! They don't make them like this anymore.

  • @Beautifulmusiclistnr

Agreed! So wonderful and refreshing to see a portrayal of a married couple who have so much fun together. This makes me want to throw a dinner party of my own -- tie clips and evening gowns are a must!

    God bless!

  • this is my favorite number Mare and Dick did together!

  • @PleasantFellow That's because (most times) they don't want the extras looking into the camera. It actually distracts the viewer from focusing their attention on the actor featured in the shot.

  • This is the first number I remember watching as a kid and thinking to myself "I wanna play\sing like THAT!"

  • What an amazing version of this song.

Odd that the woman seated in the back of the room by the window, noticeable between Mary and Dick in the closeups, seems distracted and looking off in a completely different direction than the singers for most of the number. Strange for an extra to screw up what must have been pretty simple direction: "Watch the two stars and act like you enjoy the song."

  • So cute!

  • Wow, what a great performance by Dick and Mary! It's just lovely to see two people enjoying themselves as much as they are in a fun, respectable, even admirable way. Society today is so sad in comparison. It seems like people can't have fun without being intoxicated and/or obnoxious.

  • DICK VAN DYKE!! LOVE THEM!

  • This was the first time I had ever heard this tune, loved it! Better days! Thanks for posting!!

  • @jmgleason Hey Buddy, I feel the same way. When you have that dinner party, please invite me, and I'll be there wearing a suit and tie! It is refreshing to see a married couple having fun. Thanks for your comment and God Bless!!
