  • Phil Collins is undoubtedly a great drummer and a VERY hard act to follow - but these guys were competent. BUT - the cautious approach by the rest of the band makes it sound like the real Genesis on an "Off-Night". Where's the fluidity of the keyboards? The understated raunch of the guitars? The passion? It's a cover. It sounds like it. Good. Not great. Woudl have preferred to hear a Dream Theater cover - so it is STAMPED with an attitude or flavour.

  • @binka21 You don't kow your Genesis my friend. Chester Thompson, and Phil Collins - individually two of the finest rock drummers you'll ever hear. And together, phenomenal. Watch this video, and then compare it to the real band at Wembley (also on YouTube), and you'll see the difference. And there are plenty of other bands with 2 drummers.

  • Singer is good, and having seen the real Genesis play this, I dind't think the guitar solos were bad at all. The drumming, on the other hand, was diabolical.

  • Oh, this is a tribute band?? I thought this was the real Genesis.

  • @binka21 Quite simply they are trying to copy the Genesis live show as close as possible. I do agree with you on the guitarist though. He made a few bad attempts at copying what Mike Rutherford did on either the Mama tour video or the Invisible Touch tour video, where Mike also did not copy the album exactly. He is by far the weakest musician on this stage. His sound was a bit harsh too.

  • @AldorleaGames No doubt. You should check out their version of Lilly White Lilith. He sounds just like Peter Gabriel. It's amazing =)

  • The singer has a voice so close to Phil's lol

  • I liked this video. I too am in cover band that does YES , Genesis and Pink Floyd. The Darryl Stermer shows had the guitars of the gods. It's good to adlib, but sticking to the solo riffs are what crowds are looking for. Steve Hackett , Steve Howe, etc. Godd job by the keyboard player and bass. Drums were spot on.

  • that guitars totally messed up the 2nd to last solo he made up his own when he should've stuck to the original

  • what the hell kind of band needs 2 drummers get real
