#I have now posted another edit of this film in EXTREME slow motion#I have wanted to film swallows flying over the water for some time and then finally I was in the right place at the right time! shot with canon 600d at 60fps slowed to 15 fps . ! hope you enjoy..
It was late evening so my peice to camera is a little "dusky" :)
The footage is slowed to half speed to get the effect although I show it at "normal speed" first . Hope you enjoy
all the best
Alex Sally
I make these films in some of the best places in England and Wales to watch wildlife and birds. This series shows a learning curve in filming using a dslr vs camcorder . • starthi,

Firstly , thanks for watching :)

If you wait a week or so, I am just about a guide to both blog and kindle on filming birds with camcorder and dslr. You may find it useful. the t3i , is not so easy for filming birds I think. It sometimes produces great results and sometimes it is tricky to get right. in other words hit and miss. The AF is a problem with moving subjects..Here I made sure the aperture was small enough that a there was a large depth of field everything stayed in focus

  • is it true that while you are filming and when you press the shutter button the screen go blank? is so does both view finder and the LCD screen go blank/black?

  • hi, how are u liking the t3i? I am thinking of buying it for capturing bird videos. I heard this one does not have AF? is that a big problem.

  • great stuff alex. saw them again on other vid keep them coming.
