Beautyfull. Thank you. Bello, gracias desde Bogotá!

That is definitely easier than the square hand sieve you were using before. Keep at it!

Now that, is clever. Many thanks for the upload

Awesome machine. I have one of the old ones like the one you first showed but like you said its too much work.

I like how you're trying to make things faster and easier. It seems to me that it may be even quick if you can cover that hole where you put in the compost. Then, you'd be able to spin the whole thing around w/o the rocking.

Looks to me you could just do your composting in the container. Keep something under to catch the filtered composted material. I might would make it where you would shut the opening. You could keep your compost stirred by revolving the wire barrel. Give me an idea though. Thanks for the post.

Rotary comes from the word rotate which basically means go round. Going round or rotating during operation is what rotary tools do. Like drills or Trommels.

looks like its more work than its worth

i like this idea because its realy simple and if it had a door and a hand cank it whould be even better. if these things were added it whoould be perfect it whould be maximan offiency minimum effort. i hope you dont mind but im going to try and make one of these for my garden as i have about 3 / 4 tons of old soil to siv and its killing me to do it all by hand.
All good comments and I agree a door and a crank would add good features, but I try to keep it simple, otherwise sometimes things just don't get made. Also, I've since moved it from that location and made it free standing so that I can use it anywhere in the garden, as I have more than one compost heap now.
