Respond to this video... For some reason every time I looked at C, I saw F and F turned to C.......constantly. Must be dyslexia striking me harder than ever or old age coming in early
@Vollhirni Ah, dyslexia strikes again! No wonder what you said made absolutely NO sense to me. C to F was always a consideration and I even wondered why would YOU even have it in F, but my dyslexia moment hung in there pretty long!
@KooLaidblue Ever heard of Celsius? Thats the Unit used for Temperature Measurements in most Parts of Europe, anyway in Germany, where I live and where this Video was taken. Clearly to see the big C right to the 87. If you want to be smart, be smart first. 87 Degree Celsius is 188 Degrees Fahrenheit. Get it? BTW, if you wait for your engine to reach 150° F you can as well don't wait at all, since then the oil has about the same Temperature as before. Smartypants :-)
@Vollhirni Interesting. Learn something new everyday since I don't rev mine for any purpose till 150 degrees and it only takes a couple minutes to get that warm, long enough to put on my jacket, helmet and gloves. 87 degrees indicates a dead cold motor in that video unless it's actually freezing outside in that video. Either way, 87 degrees and immediate revs = bad considering the oil never even had a chance to circulate to the top of the motor.
@KooLaidblue PLEASE. She has 87 C Water Temp, so I guess she should be warm enough, even though oil needs about twice as long to get warm. besides, if she was cold 7000rpm would still far too much for my taste. also, the red flash is adjustable on this bike, you simply push the middle button about 3 sec, then you can set it to a higher value. 6k rpm is just the standard value, it is active each time after you had the battery removed. sigh. Look at my videos, I know what I am talking about.
But a cold motor and revving to 7k isn't the best thing. As for the light, if its like my sports car, it's saying "STOP! Too cold to rev past 7k!". However, my car's actual rev limited kicks in to prevent over rev with a cold motor instead of just throwing up a shift light.

@Vollhirni look at the temp gauge. I think the light is saying "Too damn cold to be revving this high man!"
