Raul Esparza is quite possibly one of the greatest stage performers of our era. I have no doubt that the revival of Company and especially the ending number "Being Alive" will be talked about for years to come and not easily forgotten.

Raul Esparza is very underrated

Joanne plays triangle, which technically classifies as an intstrument. Bobby only plays piano for part of one song, though, when he has his mental breakdown.

Everyone in this production plays an instrument, except the actor who plays Joanne.

I love this performance. I missed it when it was on PBS but bought it the second it became available on DVD. Exciting!

I remember seeing this on PBS this past winter, I think it was February '08. I loved it so much! I had never heard of it before. Sondheim is awesome and God bless PBS for airing this!

You have to remember that he was trained as an actor, not a singer. For someone who falls under the role of an actor who can sing, I think he does an amazing job.

I personally think this is his worst song in the production. I much prefer his Being Alive to Dean's. Although, I love watching Dean on the DVD...I don't like just listening to him though. It's weird.
He should have gotten best actor over David Hyde Pierce.
