ferras style of playing is unique... just look the way he holds the bow and how he holds the violin... he told his students never to copy him... it was a very personal style... but i guess its good, just look the sound... the first time i listened this movement was from this recording and surprised me, first his soul and second his technique (sibelius concerto is really hard)...

Before Youtube I had nver heard of Christian Ferras. Now he is my favorite violinist. His Sibelius on cd with Karajan is phantastic. Not to mention his Mendelssohn, Chausson, Franck, Beethoven etc. etc. What a beautiful tone, drama and soul he put in his playing! Very moving..
