  • Does exist the DVD of this fabolous play?

  • This is an audio recording from Naxos. He did play Richard III on stage at Sheffield a few years back

  • And now ANOTHER award to add to your collection. A BAFTA for Wallander.

  • Well done, Kenneth! You really are proving SOMEONE wrong...

  • The day 'that' 'SOMEONE' wins a BAFTA, will be the day I give up drinking! (Fear not whisky distilleries of Ireland & Scotland It will never happen) LOL.

  • I got a lump in my throat. Who is this Lady Anne? She's great!

  • Lady Anne is played by the wonderful Stella Gonet.

  • Branagh should retire as an actor? He is the greatest actor to grace our stage and screen since... well, I can't even think who! Branagh is an absolutely outstanding actor, and the day he retires will be the end of an era. I too *ahem* look forward to your video response...

  • I feel a little vitriol's taste in your comment...(lol!)

  • This is the most moving, and beautifully spoken wooing scene I have ever heard. Does anyone have Stella Gonet doing the speech just before this scene where she cries over the corpse and curses Richard? If so, can you please post it?

  • •King Richard III: ‘Was ever woman……with some little cost.’ King Richard III (Act 1 sc.2

  • I wish people would look beyond Shakespear at who Richard really was. In reality Richard rescued Anne Neville from his brother George who hid here away as a kitchen wench. The very next day after Bosworth it was written " on this day our Good king Richard was pitously SLAIN and MURDERED" CHROYLAND CHRONICLES

  • I prefer oliviers only because he makes richard seem so powerful and Anne is obviously drawn to him, that it makes more sense for her to agree to him so quickly.

  • Hm. Better than Olivier? Possibly. Probably. Than McKellen? No.

    Volume/speed/intensity not make one great.

  • Branagh and the woman playing Lady Anne do a SUPERB job! Branagh trumps Olivier and McKellen

  • Yes, I know, he played at Crucible Theatre, if I remember well! Anyway, I hope in a video recording of this play, published sooner or later...

  • Branagh has the right age to be Richard in film!
