Thunderstorm 6-24-2010

just wanted to video the storm that passed to our north at around 2:30 pm . The local temps were in the mid 90's and it was humid . Wanted to get some of lighting but there was none where i was filming.what you hear in the back round is the national weather service in New York City with warnings that i had on my cell phone.
This was filmed in Franklin Square Long Island New York

*** As of 530pm the news is that This storm caused damage on the northshore in the citys of Great Neck and Manhassett on long island new york trees were knocked down and other damage but there were no confermed tornados but the were reports that this storm had a unconfermed tornado in the city of bridgeport ct.***

@sflorman72 well i had lighting hit right outside my house in wisconsin and fryed the phone microwave and some of the house wireing now that crazy you are just hopeing that the house dont go on fire!

Awesome video you had here from THU 6/24/10....love your NOAA-weather radio severe Tstorm reports.... BTW..exactly 2 years earlier to the same day...6/24/08..I did get lotsa big Tstorms on video..also on YouTube. Also..you did mention here ''Great Neck'' and ''Manhasset''...I used to live in Port Washington....and from THERE..I audiotaped lotsa Tstorms form there years ago..still have the tapes today! Nice rumbles and cool clouds in your video here.

hi, bridgeport ct citizen, i wss in this storm i saw 5 bolts of lightning on my way to buying chineese food down it came in sheets of rain ! pea size hail mom coming out with chineese food during lightning storm thankfully i ran in to restarant

to give her rain coat before it came down like wow i was also on my way to watch it come in 9 stories high, condo wow! was it ever so black of a day!

There was a confirmed Tornado along with a Microburst here in Bridgeport CT causing extensive damage
