@GeneralG1810 Discovery saves money on cutting and or recycling music rights. Discovery is just like any other network (in North America), educational or not they are there to make content and gain revenue through pick-ups and advertising. Besides, Discovery has loads of 'shit TV' in the form of some of their less than stellar 'reality' shows. If you want educational watch anything from the BBC Natural History Unit (however the TV system in the UK is vastly different/superior).
