When you talk about a "glaze" it seems you are referring to the acrylic fluid?  A bit confusing because these are not the same thing...

Wow, this is really helpful! I am an old scrapper and I made my first junk steam punk art journal. Thanks so much, and know that even a year later, people are watching your new stuff and then going back to learn from the beginning, too! I'm a newbie & want to start a journal art soon, but I try hard to maintain the supplies my best, so I don't stuck right in the midle whilst having fun.

The question is:

what's the ALTERNATiVE for GESSO ???

I'm an asian, and not sure what's "gesso" called in the place I live (maybe there's sort of gesso, only different call for it, but just in case..)
