Sue Spagnuolo's Dolce Vita Goat Dairy by Sustainable Farmer

Sue Spagnuolo of St. Johns, Michigan, found herself facing a challenge. Suddenly single, with two grown daughters, in a career as a horsewoman that was too physically demanding in the long term. So she has reinvented herself as a milkmaid, producing three flavors of chevre goat cheese that she sells at local farmers' market and some area supermarkets. This video by Sustainable Farmer explores how she made the transition, with help from Michigan State University's Product Center. Produced and directed by Bonnie Bucqueroux, with great goat footage by Zenzi Griffin. Produced with support from the Michigan Humanities Council.
