@gfreedmand There are a couple of others I know of. The worst by far was by a group called "The Gingerbread Men" who sang it "Beatles style" Ouch!.

Billy Bland, who was a soul and r&b singer, had the hit with this song. As far as I know he is the only other person to record this song.
