It's on one of Judy's albmums - by the same name and I believe it's available at amazon.

At least three times a year the senior class at Bryn Mawr College sings this song - accompanied by the underclasswomen lifting lit lanterns in support - as part of one of our many traditions. I recorded it once, but it isn't online yet. We don't sound quite as good (due to not being professionals, and often crying while singing), but it's lovely nonetheless.

Thanks for the poets name...I'll let you know, as I'm looking especially for anything with Mimi...I adore her & think somewhere she or Judy maybe Joan sang it and SOMEBODY has it on film. All the best. Briar

I like the slideshow...but the echo is a bit annoying when you want to just want to hear the song. But it's good overall.

I can't recall the poet's name...oddly a man...but Mimi Farina wrote the music and Judy Collins sings it so beautifully. Does anyone know if there is a live tape of Judy or anyone else performing this? I love Judy and Mimi for this and my brother poet whos name I forget...forgive me.

It was written about 1912 by James Oppenheim in response to a women's textile worker strike. I don't know of any live versions-- but I would think there must be one! Please let me know if you have any luck finding one.
