"Dia De Los Muertos" A Stop Motion

Dia De Los Muertos, also known as Day of the Dead", is a holiday celebrated in Mexico on November first and second to honor deceased friends and family. It is said that the souls of the dead come back to Earth easier during Dia De Los Muertos, so people clean the graves and leave things like food, water, and blankets. Marigolds, "Flor de Muerto", are thought to attract the souls and are placed on the graves and shrines as well.

This was the first time I ever attempted to make a stop motion type video, and because it was for a Spanish project I only had one week to complete it. I'm hoping to make better ones in the future, when I have more time. Despite the simplicity of it all, it was actually the hardest project I've ever made and I have a lot of respect for the people that make these, even if it's just a ball of clay rolling around on a desk.

If you have any tips for future videos I might make, that would be really helpful.
