@LuizPereira2 When he is talking about contingencies what he means is relations between what happens right before a behavior and what happens right after a behavior. In my opinion he should have used a better word to describe these relations.

Here's an example:

A baby is hungry b/c s/he hasn't eaten in 4 hours (before the response) --> The child cries (response) ----> Mom provides food (after response)

This entire process is what behavior analysts call a "contingency"

@innocent1252 i had the same question. when he says contingincies, i believe he means to give reason to a condition or to fullfill with reason that condition.
