"Power corrupts". "Absolute power corrupts absolutely". Hoover had too much power, for too long. Even top agents in "The Bureau" complained (not publicly, until after his death) about his stranglehold not only of them but Washington & The country Itself. It isn't a stretch of imagination to see that Lincoln wants to set the record straight. In fact it's clear. Lincoln was a first hand witness. Johnson & Hoover conspired for Johnson to be V.P....a "heartbeat" away from the Presidency!!(?)

Hoover was a close friend, ally & confidante of LBJ -- which goes to the heart of how utterly venal & corrupt the politics of American power had become, as the nation's chief Law Enforcement agent (Hoover) was closely allied with LBJ who conspired to the President's office with the murder of no-less than 12 men, who schemed the murder of JFK & nation's entry into SE Asian war on bogus pretext, who acted completely above the law. A BIG reason why the US, today, is in political & economic crisis.

Even though Hoover was a tranny dressing fag, hardly anyone knew it except the Mob. They had photos of him and Clyde Tolsen having sex. The comment at the end of this interview about his name being struck from the FBI building is right. The FBI used the lame excuse that it would cost too much money in stationary and other materials to change the name of the building. To have his name on the Department of Justice building is an injustice to the thousands of people Hoover destroyed.

Why won't they release anything before 2029? Who made that decision and how come the Kennedys didn't fight for it?
The biggest mistake Kennedy made was electing Hoover as the FBI director and to think this undercover punk had the nerve to blackmail others.
