Fender 62 RI Jazz.divx

The first in a series of bass reviews...According to the serial # this 1962 Fender reissue Jazz bass was made in Japan sometime in 1996 or 1997. It is completely original except for a small notch in the body I had made by a luthier to facilitate truss rod access.

Although I have many videos up here on YouTube, this is my first "review" video so be kind. I will get better at them soon enough. Less talking and more playing!

are sunbeams good for mellow tones but brightness when you want them to be?

@rockguru14 - Well...yes but I think it's more of where you place your hands. Close to the neck + the "fat" part of your fingers = mellow. Closer to the bridge + harder attack = brighter. That being said, the Sunbeams are quite the set.

@zumazmusic i dont think think any of the japanese 62 reissues have/had stacked knobs. Looks like an american vintage or maby one of reissues made in the old fullerton factory. I could be wrong though.
