No video distractions needed, Louis Armstrong & His Orchestra are enough.

Armstrong on trumpet; Fred Robinson, trombone; Jimmy Dodds, clarinet; Earl Hines, piano; Mancy Carr (not "Cara" as his name has been too often misspelled) on banjo, and Zutty Singleton on drums.

December 7, 1928, Chicago, IL

'Muggles' was a 1920s slang name for something illegal to smoke....

  • Hahah correct, muggles was a popular phrase especially around jazz musicians for cannabis; but, at the time of this recording, it wasn't actually illegal to smoke.

Thanks for the information, I'll add it in. I don't have anymore rare songs from Armstrong at the moment, but I'll post any if I find some.

  • People wonder why musicians love pot so much and i have to laugh. Because if you have to ask you haven't tried it. Musicians, good ones, can feel their music without any drugs. BUT, it don't matter who you are, if you're high, the music will not only move your body, your body will become one with the music. AND depending on what your mood is or what your listening to, your mind will be freed by the music, and you will truly understand the spiritual nature of music and the love of life.

  • can you do a beckflup?
