  • Maybe Burfi is a traditional Indian sweet but this method of preparation is definitely not traditional. I would reconsider a better method to prepare burfi. The taste of the burfi made in the microwave would definitely be different than one cooked traditionally.

  • @yaarbikram

This is Kalakand recipe. Kalakand is better if you dont stir it a lot. And M/W is better for that.

However you can always use stovetop instead of M/W

  • wat can I use if riccota, khoya or mawa is not ava easily wher I live? thanks

  • @2221971

I guess you can make your own Khoya by drying milk in a pan.

  • It is a cheese which is like Khoya or Maawa. Do a google search on this. Thx

  • I had this dish for the first time last week, got it from an Indian sweet shop.

    It's really addictive haha.

    Love Indian food.

  • Doctor "You need to lower your sugar intake."

    Me "How much?"

    Doctor "a good amount."

Me "I have to give up my paneer squares?"

    Doctor "yes."

    Me "good luck with that!"

  • Superb recipe man. Making the dessert hasn't been this easy! A blessing if you are living abroad. Thanks!

  • @arpanasunilkumar It's Italian cheese (from my country ;-)) it is called 'curd cheese' in English. Very fresh, similar to paneer.
