  • hello there people i need help i solddd my stuff on ebay yh the man payeddd me on paypal but then came and colected the item how can i let ebay know tht this has happend so they can release my money>>??? pleasss help me

  • @naruto4766 only way 4 PP/Ebay to release the hold is if you shpped hte item and show it was deliverd via tracking it will be released 3 days later. you did an in person deal so you can't do that. only other way is for that person to leave you pos feedback. If they don't leave you FB u will b waiting 21 days. you have no way to prove he got the item so if he claims he didn't paypal will give him his money back and he will keep your item. never do in person deals and accept paypal

  • I do not believe what Paypal is doing is legal. Its just that it hasn't been fought hard enough by the right attorneys. Hows this for a scam. Paypal hold for 2 months, couldnt pay my Ebay bill when I was finally able to pay the overdue month I was told that because I waited too long I was now restricted and now the full outstanding balance has to be paid not just the outstanding balance which got paid. Now instead of the 500.00 I have to pay $1,000 to get unrestricted. Because of the 21 day hold

  • @jwmonkey in the past there were a bunch of class action lawsuits and paypal was basically putting holds on peoples accounts indefinately for basically any reason they deemed. seems like it has gotten slightly better over the years but they are still pulling this bs. i dont think its illegal b/c its all there in terms and conditions if we dont like it we shouldn't use paypal/ebay but obviously they rules the auction game so you gotta decide if u want to put up with it or not.

  • Why do you think eBay doesn't give you any other choice than PayPal? The only alternative to eBay is WEBSTORE.COM and for PayPal is GOOGLE CHECKOUT. Check it out. Everything's FREE, but you have a small ad on the auctions which pays for your free service. Google Checkout doesn't play the 21 day "snowball" game. A lot of people are closing their eBay and PayPal accounts on April 1, 2012 and moving to the Webstore.com & Google Checkout for merchants. You might want to check it out?

  • The Webstore.com allows to keep every dime from your sales. Allows Google Checkout, PayPal (If you want to use that service), your own credit card service, checks and money orders.

  • @jwmonkey i hate the whole dsr score thing, what a crock of shit. in my experience a very small percentage of people bother to leave feedback no matter how great your product and service and the only people who do are going to be people who are mad or just wanna be dicks so its tough to keep a high dsr score and when it drops you dont show up for shit in the searches. i wish someone would come out with a fair priced decent policies auction site but nobody has.

  • I also believe without a doubt that Ebay has a team of hired outsourced shill bidders who buy dollar items just for the purpose of lowering your DSR scores only. You would never really know because its anonymous. If you could go to jail based on an anonymous accusation then we would all be in jail. Below Standard is like Ebay jail. I for one would like to know if I made error, how I can improve, not just be punished for it. Plus its a win win for Ebay.

  • Plus Ebay is reluctant to remove obvious fraudulent feedback because they know its in their best interest. I have had someone purchase an item and the next day leave negative feedback. The item had not even been payed for. Ebays response is that it reflects the buyers honest opinion. However if Paypal or Ebay had to pay each and every person the Interest that their money accrued their whole system would be different.

  • @jwmonkey Its how its done that leaves me wondering. For example, my account went from Powerseller to Below Standard due to the DSR ratings , DSR system is 100% anonymous so you don't know if people are leaving you low scores or not because the Feedback shows positive. Especially when its in Ebays best interest to keep good sellers in the red. They can offset the DSR. You would never know.how or why, you wont be able to use any promotions or discounts, and Paypal makes money in interest.
