Oh honestly I don't know what type of wood my dad picked out. But it was pretty strong. I don't think he even checked what type of wood it was. Sorry... :/

@inusam15 At conventions weaponry isn't allowed unless it's fake. A metal might make it a bit too realistic. Its really up to you, but I would highly recommend using wood :)
