I don't know how things works there but over here in a competition catch and throw = 2 points. Strike = 1 point.

some Catch&Throws are too much long and composited to be executed in a sanda match. nowadays they're more simple and effective. once you catch a kick,why don't just wipe off the standing leg instead of switching the holding hand and strike with a punch? anyway,cung le is a master,didn't mean to offend his works,they're very good. I just wanted to start a discussion.

@sandaPan28 sometimes it depends on which side is ur stance and ur oppoent's attack so u need 2 do different reaction. anyway if u can take ur oppoent down without making urself fall down as well then it is a good one
