its also found to happen more to individuals who have irregular sleep schedules... so sleep properly ppl !!

@Moilly2 I used to feel there was someone or something in the room with me too. Apparently people who claim aliens abducted them actually experienced this. Exploding head syndrome I've not heard of. Is that where you wake very suddenly as if someone has hit you over the head with a pillow? I've had that a few times after drinking lots of vodka and red bull the night before.

Yeah, It's called Sleep Paralysis. I used to get it alot. I think it's when the body is asleep but the brain wakes up. Not much fun when you're having a nightmare. I also get Hypnic Jerks and something called 'Exploding Head Syndrome'. Such fun

I get them after taking stimulants such as filter coffee or amphet/antidepressants. I also used to wake shortly after falling asleep but still be paralysed and tried to scream but couldn't. Anyone else experience that?
