Is there a ghost in the movie "fight club" ?

This is from a scene in the begining of the movie "Fight Club" ..... I watched this last night, and noticed this weird guy in a red shirt pop-up for no apparent reason. This is the part, played on a VCR in slow motion.....can anyone explain what is he doing there? I cant find anything about it on the internet. He also appears in like 2 other parts of tha movie, just like that.

@R1NKE11 i think it's foreshadowing to the fact that tyler is a figment of the narrators imagination. we see him but only for a brief second, and then think, "wait, did i really see anything, or did I imagine it?" looking back on it at the end of the movie, he probably only occurs in flashes because he is not a full character in the narrator's life yet - he is only just being introduced into his mind.
