  • America is so fucked up we can accept same sex marriage in england where the tolerance towards homosexuality is a lot lower so why cant America. It has not affected they way our country runs nor has it compromised our schools I dont get why all people cant just accept this, no where in the bible does is say that you should not be gay or marry someone of the same sex, it does however say that people who commit adultry should be stoned does that mean we should start stoning people?

  • They're worried about the sanctity of marriage. Kim Kardashian, a straight female, made 17 million dollars on her wedding. Yet her marriage lasted 72 days. Britney Spears's marriage lasted 55 hours. Some same sex relationships/marriages last for years and years. And they're worried about protecting marriage?

    Don't make me laugh, America.

  • @Sweetumsh The Supreme Court declared marriage a fundamental right to marry the person of one's choice.

  • @dannyboyinspace Look it up? Where? If there is a definition of marriage then you need to bring the evidence here.

  • @dannyboyinspace My opinion, and the opinion of millions of others, is that marriage is a right, and to have that right taken away just because of one's sexuality is just medieval. Yes the *dictionary* definition of marriage is the union of a man and a woman, because we live in a heteronormative society. But times have changed and people need to learn to adapt to those changes. It's not yours or anyone's business who someone else wants to marry. There is no reason to take away that right.

  • @jfsfrnd Actually there is please look it up because I don't want to keep repeating myself.

  • @dannyboyinspace There is no definition of marriage. Marriage has changed over time.

  • @jfsfrnd i dont believe in any religion. i believe in jesus who is very soon coming back

  • @Sweetumsh Instead of giving your opinion look up the term marriage or better yet I'll do it for you "The formal union of a MAN AND WOMAN, typically recognised by law, by which they become husband and wife". There is nothing which goes into depth or describes the relationship thats purely your opinion. Like I said before its for keeping the defintion of marriage intact "between a man and a woman" the length it lasts is irrelevant.

  • @dannyboyinspace Um no. The definition of marriage isn't that it should always occur between only a male and a female. That's the definition of heteronormative.

Marriage defines the strength of a relationship between ANY two people of ANY gender. Length isn't irrelevant at all, because that's what shows how strong of a relationship between these two people is. What's irrelevant, in terms of marriages/relationships/love, is gender.

  • @Sweetumsh The whole point of protecting marriage is keeping the definition intact which is between a man and women how long it lasts is irrelevant.
