@Goronian because the robots want the next generation good and time by the time they make their move to take over.

Either that or it costs too much to properly animate cartoons today so we get cheesy knock offs of earlier cartoons or poorly drawn new ones that try to make up for it with bright colors and nonsense (for kids) or with nudity and foul language (for adults)...

I'm still goin with the robots.
