Please post some more of this if you have the whole gig. There are only three people who can make me cry with laughter, Tommy Cooper, Billy Connolly and Derek Blaster Bates. Just watching this one clip had me going....thank you thank you.

Thanks to my late uncle, I've had Bates' material for a great many years! I didn't know he was still "conducting talks" until about 2002 or there abouts and missed a lot... I hope all will forgive my selfishness for my saying it's a bloody shame I will never see him live on stage!

I was a lad in the 70's and he took me for a ride on his scrambler in a sand quarry, what a guy he was

Just like many I grew up listening to Blaster and like lots of U out there my Father had most of his records.
To cap it though I had the opportunity to attend a dinner where Blaster was the guest speaker and invited Dad along too.
Unbeknow to him he was sat next to blaster and spent the evening in his company, what a delight it was to see my Dads face there were about 250 people in the room and he was there next to Blaster on the top table.
I am so pleased I did this for Dad, God bless him.
