RTW Commentary Macedon vs Sparta

Those meddling Macedonians are getting into Spartan affairs, and their pikes into Spartan chests.

I take on HELLSTAR, whose combo of brave Spartan hoplites, mercenary archers, allied cavalry, and some helot slaves has to best my Macedonian professional army.

He had some interesting tactics, but this video is primarily of interest because his army shows the same weaknesses that the real Spartan army had. It also shows the value of denser block formations as opposed to wider line formations.

@slideguitar777 More than kinda on your first point and a maybe on your second point. I haven't played online in years. I got tired of running into clan armies (6 or 7 highly upgraded units that for some reason rape your entire army even if you fully encircle them with your best dudes).

@TheVidMaker99 Your statement is a bit anitiquated and false; at the time, roughly c.400 B.C. Greece was not a unified nation, it was NOT Greece. It was however, a warring region of City-states, such as Sparta, Athens, Thessalae, Thespia etc. Each one, a proud and autonomous nation. However, during the reign of Philip II of Macedon (a City-state in the Northern part of Modern day Greece), conquered all the other City States and unfied them under the Macedonian Empire.
