I can verify this really works. I have a page that is currently ranked #2 for two main keywords, besides the over 1,000 long tail keywords it pull hits from. I have never requested links from ANY web site or done any link exchanges. Others just like the page and naturally link to it. It often comes up as an answer in Yahoo's Answers too. Good content attracts 1-way links that are often good PR links as well. Focus on good unique dynamic content and theres a good chance the SEO will happen easily
