This instructional video demonstrates the preparation of LATICRETE® 1500 Sanded Grout with LATICRETE 1776 Grout Enhancer (in place of water). This eliminates shading and blotching caused by minerals and organic particles commonly found in domestic water. This system also inhibits the growth of stain-causing mold and mildew in the grout joints with Microban® antimicrobial product protection. ASTM C627 Rated Extra Heavy Service.

  • GREAT INFO. There can always be more info but this was perfect to get rolling. Try the method where a appliance will go or another hidden spot and you will get the method down very quickly. THANKS !

  • My pleasure.

Low joints can occur if you sponge the tile too soon after grouting. We recommend waiting until the grout has stiffened before sponging off the tile. I'd also recommend not applying too much downward pressure to the sponge. You can certainly apply another layer of grout to bring the joint height up a bit - do so while the joints are still clean to prevent contamination.

Applying a sealer is not required however a good quality sealer will increase stain resistance.

  • I thank you for getting back to me.Now that I know you reply back to utube postings,I would like to ask you a few more questions just to be sure of what I'm doing.I just grouted the first side of my kitchen floor (1/4" G.lines).After the grout dries, how low should the grout sink below the ceramic tile, mine is not flush,it sunk in a little. Can you apply another thin layer on top of the new layer?Do you recommened a sealer?I saw a video where no only you seal the lines but the tile itself. Thanx

  • Good day,

My apologies about the lack of complete information in this video. We do not normally include all physical properties and specs for our products in the how-to videos.

To answer your question, the grout that you are using cures to foot traffic in 12 hours and to heavy traffic in 24 hours. You can apply a sealer should you so choose - if you do we recommend consulting their recommendations on the length of cure required before applying their product.

    Best of luck!

  • No mentioning of how long till the grout fully cures, and do you still need to apply a sealer ? Come on foulks at laticrete,it's not rocket science to put at a "How to" video covering EVERY important detail.I'm grouting tonight and would of liked to have an idea how long for full curing time.
